/meuh hee"keuhn/, n., pl. Mahicans, (esp. collectively) Mahican.
1. a tribe or confederacy of Algonquian-speaking North American Indians, centralized formerly in the upper Hudson valley.
2. a member of this tribe or confederacy.
Also, Mohican.
