I. Shirley Conran (1932– )
an English designer, journalist and author, formerly married to Terence Conran. Her books include Superwoman (1982) and Action Woman (1979). She is famous for her piece of advice ‘Life is too short to stuff a mushroom.’.
II. Terence Conran (1931– )
an English designer and businessman who started the Habitat chain of furniture shops in 1964. The influence of his style on modern furniture increased as his shops spread throughout Britain and then to the US and France. Conran also owns several restaurants. He was made a knight in 1983.
