Unknown Warrior
(also the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier)
a grave inside Westminster Abbey, London, England, which contains the body of an unknown British soldier who died in World War I. The grave represents the many other soldiers who died, especially those whose bodies were never identified. There is a similar grave at the Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia, US, now called officially the Tomb of the Unknowns, where unknown US soldiers killed in war are buried.
