Sound of Music

Sound of Music
a Broadway musical play (1959) by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. It is based on the true story of the Austrian Trapp family who sang together and escaped to Switzerland from the Nazis. The film version, in which Julie Andrews plays Maria Trapp, won six Oscars. The songs include The Sound of Music, Maria, Do Re Mi and Climb Every Mountain.
