Midsummer Night’s Dream

Midsummer Night’s Dream
a comedy play by William Shakespeare which takes place in a wood near Athens. The story involves three groups of characters in a mixture of magic and reality. Oberon, the king of the fairies, is angry with his wife Titania, and tells his servant Puck to play a trick on her, so that she falls in love with Bottom, one of a group of workers who are practising a play they are going to perform for the Athenian court. Bottom’s head is changed into that of an ass. Puck also plays magic tricks on a group of young lovers with comic results, until everything is put right and the play ends with wedding celebrations and the performance of the workers’ play.
