Committee on Standards in Public Life

Committee on Standards in Public Life
a committee set up by the British government in 1994 to examine standards of behaviour among people who have a responsibility to the public to behave in an honest and respectable way, such as Members of Parliament. It was first led by Lord Nolan and was also called the Nolan Committee.
