Aunt Jemima{™}

Aunt Jemima{™}
the name of a US food product that is mixed with milk and eggs to make pancakes (= flat round cakes). The box originally had a picture of an African-American woman wearing a piece of material on her head like a servant. This came to be seen as offensive, and the name Aunt Jemima was sometimes used to mean an African-American woman who liked to serve white people. The picture was changed in the 1970s to show a modern African-American woman.
