Yom Kip·pur (yôm' kĭpʹər, yōm', yŏm', yôm' kē-po͝orʹ) n. Judaism
A holy day observed on the tenth day of Tishri and marked by fasting and prayer for the atonement of sins. Also called Day of Atonement.
