Mennecy porcelain

Mennecy porcelain

a soft-paste porcelain of a particularly light and translucent quality made at a French factory from the 1730s to 1806. The wares are generally small: vases or coffee- or dressing-table sets. Figures are of good quality. Mennecy has a distinctive greenish yellow and soft brown colouring.
