also called  Luxembourgish,  Letzeburgisch,  Letzebuergesch , or  Luxembourgeois

dialect of German that is spoken exclusively in Luxembourg. Luxemburgian is a Moselle-Franconian dialect of the West Middle German group. This old language has been enriched by many French words and phrases, and the resulting dialect is spoken by all classes of people in Luxembourg. The population of Luxembourg is generally bilingual or trilingual, with most people speaking Luxemburgian and either French or German, or all three. Luxemburgian is mostly used orally, while French is the language most commonly used in government and the courts and German is the language most commonly used in newspapers. All three languages are used in the country's schools.
