Donau-Günz Interglacial Stage

Donau-Günz Interglacial Stage

major division of early Pleistocene time and deposits in the Alpine region of Europe (the Pleistocene Epoch dates from 1,600,000 to 10,000 years ago). The Donau-Günz Interglacial, a period of relatively moderate climatic conditions, followed the Donau Glacial Stage and preceded the Günz Glacial Stage. It is correlated with the Antian sequence of marine deposits in Britain and the Waal Interglacial Stage of northern Europe.
