      Canadian journalist (b. July 15, 1930, Montreal, Que.?—d. Sept. 16, 2000, Montreal), had a nearly 50-year career during which he wrote for almost all the leading Quebec newspapers, both French and English, as well as appeared on radio and television; he twice served as managing editor of Le Magazine Maclean (later L'Actualité) and from 1990 until his retirement in 1996 was a columnist for Le Journal de Montreal. He was honoured with the Jules Fournier Prize in 1989.
