was dubbed “Bowman the Showman” because of his flamboyance on the ice and his ability to thrill a crowd with his dynamic performances. During his career Bowman, who captured the U.S. men's figure skating titles in 1989 and 1992, took a silver (1989) and a bronze medal (1990) at the world championships. He also competed in the 1988 and 1992 Winter Olympics, placing seventh and fourth, respectively. Bowman later performed with the Champions on Ice tour and the Ice Capades.
