Rubarth's disease
/rooh"bahrts, -bahrths/
a common, rapidly progressing viral hepatitis of dogs and other carnivores, often confused with canine distemper. Also called infectious canine hepatitis.
[after Carl Sven Rubarth (born 1905), Swedish veterinarian, who described it in 1947]
