Car·i·boo Mountains (kărʹə-bo͞o')

A range of eastern British Columbia, Canada, parallel to and west of the Rocky Mountains. It rises to 3,583.8 m (11,750 ft) at Mount Sir Wilfred Laurier. Gold was discovered in the western foothills in 1860.
