a Broadway musical play (1949) and film (1958) by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. It was based on Tales of the South Pacific by James Michener and is a love story about Nellie Forbush, a US Navy nurse working on a Pacific island during World War II. The songs include Some Enchanted Evening, There Is Nothing Like a Dame and I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair.
