Severn Bridge

Severn Bridge
a high suspension bridge (= a bridge that hangs from cables supported by towers at each end) which carries the M4 motorway over the river Severn between south-west England and south Wales. It was built near Bristol in the 1960s. A second motorway bridge was built over the Severn in the 1990s.
