office party

office party
n
a party, usually just before Christmas, for the people who work in a particular office or company. Office parties usually take place in the office or in a club or restaurant near it. Most people drink alcohol and behave in a more relaxed way than they usually do at the office. There are many jokes about office parties because people sometimes get drunk or have sex with others from their office.
