McAliskey

McAliskey
(1947– )
a Northern Ireland politician, called Bernadette Devlin before her marriage. She was a leader of the Roman Catholic civil rights movement in the late 1960s and became the youngest MP in the British parliament at Westminster(2) in 1969. In the same year, she was sent to prison for six months for encouraging violence. She remained an MP until 1974. In 1981 she and her husband were shot and wounded by terrorists.
