Lord’s

Lord’s
a famous English cricket ground in St John’s Wood, north London, where test matches (= international games) are regularly played. It is named after Thomas Lord (1755–1832), who established the ground in 1814. The MCC and the England and Wales Cricket Board are both based there, and it is the place where The Ashes are kept. It is also the ground of Middlesex County Cricket Club.
