London Assembly

London Assembly
a group of people forming part of the local government of London, elected by the people of London every four years, at the same time as the Mayor of London. The Assembly is made up of 25 members. 14 of them are directly elected to represent constituencies and 11 are elected to represent all of London, using a form of proportional representation. They examine the Mayor’s activities and policies, and question him about his decisions. They are also able to investigate other issues of importance to Londoners, and make proposals to the Mayor.
