Holyrood House

Holyrood House
(also Holyroodhouse)
a royal palace in Edinburgh, used by members of the British royal family when they visit Scotland and open to the public at other times. Most of the original early 16th–century palace burned down in 1544, and the present palace was built for King Charles II in the 1670s.
