Szent-Györ·gyi (sānt-jôrʹjē, sĕnt-dyœrʹdyĭ), Albert. 1893-1986.
Hungarian-born American biochemist. He was the first to isolate vitamin C and won the 1937 Nobel Prize for discoveries relating to biological combustion.
