Ro·sen·berg (rōʹzĭn-bûrg'), Julius. 1918-1953.
American spy who with his wife, Ethel (1915-1953), was convicted of helping pass information concerning nuclear weaponry to the Soviets. Despite questions concerning the fairness of their trial and international pleas for clemency, the couple was executed.
