Norwegian  Galdhøpiggen 

      highest mountain peak of Norway and the Scandinavian Peninsula. It lies in the Jotunheim Mountains, south-central Norway, and rises to 8,100 feet (2,469 metres). The nearby Glitter Mountain has a height of 8,084 feet (2,464 metres), including the icecap. Galdhø was first climbed in 1850. Surrounded by glaciers and with a scenic view of other peaks, Galdhø is a focal point of Jotunheimen National Park (1980) and is a tourist mecca during the summer climbing season.
