Lou·is Phi·lippe (lo͞oʹē fĭ-lēpʹ, lo͞o-ēʹ fē-lēpʹ), Known as “the Citizen King.” 1773-1850.
King of France (1830-1848). He ruled after the overthrow of the Bourbons in the July Revolution (1830) and abdicated during the Revolution of 1848.
