also called  Brunca,  

      Indians of western Panama and Costa Rica, one of a group known as Talamancan. Their languages are similar and belong to the Chibchan family. The Boruca, of whom comparatively little is known, have much in common with the Bribrí and the well-studied Guaymí (q.v.).
